Breeding protocol - Ludvig Sollid group
1 Purpose
The purpose of this protocol is to breed various mouse strains that are currently used in the research group of Ludvig Sollid in order to use them in different experimental studies (described in separate FOTS protocols).
2 Distress
Minimal distress (Mild) as a result of ear marking and blood sampling.
3 Expected benefit
Breeding of mice for the benefit of research understanding the pathogenesis of celiac disease.
4 Number of animals, and what kind
After the May 2023 amendment, in total 2990 mice, expressing different transgenes and/or deficient for TG2, all on C57Bl/6 background.
5 How to adhere to 3R
We aim to breed the number of mice required for experiments, and not more then that.
