Breeding of CD100 gene-modified lines and controls (start from 2020)

The purpose of this application is to maintain and to produce CD100 KO, KI, and control mice for other experiments. Since no intervention (except ear tag) will be performed, there is very little distress expected for these animals. We apply for 400 CD100KO (B6N background), 400 CD100KI (B6J background), 400 B6N controls and 400 B6J controls for 4 years. Breeding pairs will be set to the smallest size based on the calculation of the numbers needed for other experiments. Redundant animals not used for experiments will be terminated after weaning or within 3-months-old.
