Atlantic cod from a startfeeding experiment at center for marine aquaculture during spring and summer 2017 shows differences according to treatment. The treatment consisted of feeding lab cultured copepods during early age vs rotifers and variation in time of dry feed introduction. At 160 days post hatch the difference of treatment is still present. We therefore want to pit-tag 450 fish from this experiment to be able to follow the individuals after transfer to a sea cage at a commersial farm. This kind of growth difference from early manipulation could give a life long advantage in growth and we want to see if we can document this. Expected distress for the animals is minimal, and the juveniles will be anesthetized with MS222 0,07g/L (Finquel).
